A tall, slender, baluster jug with combed decoration. This form takes it’s inspiration from Medieval jugs, of which there are many and of varying proportions. An old tile in the Victoria and Albert Museum depicts a woman holding two such shaped jugs, they are on her shoulders, her head fitting between the lower curve of each jug.
As these pieces are handmade, there may be slight variation in size and tone between the pieces.
