Root to Tip
19th May @ 8:00 am - 7th June @ 5:00 pm
Celebrating UK makers whose practices reflect an ecology of making, Root to Tip is a three-week showcase of contemporary British craft.
From materials that are dug, grown and gathered, to processes of transformation and the structures that support and sustain them, the exhibition explores how craft connects people, place and material.
Hosted at the newly opened TOAST store, the showcase forms part of the Greater Together UK trade mission to Los Angeles, spotlighting UK creativity, craft and responsible innovation.
Selected makers are part of TOAST’s New Makers programme, with additional support from QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust). Several have also exhibited at Collect, the leading international art fair for contemporary craft organised by Crafts Council.
